WAPTV Secures Licensing Deal For New Wave Of Nigerian Films

According to Ireporter Online, WapTV has finalized the acquisition of broadcast rights to hundreds of premium Nigerian films spanning English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba productions from leading filmmakers across the country.

The newly secured film catalogue, set to begin airing from May 2, 2026, showcases high-quality productions featuring some of Nigeria’s most prominent screen stars, including Rita Dominic, Jumoke Odetola, Odunlade Adekola, Segun Arinze, Yinka Quadri, Ali Nuhu, Tina Mba, Victor Osuagwu, Allwell Ademola, Fausat Balogun, Yetunde Wunmi, Belinda Effah, Ifeanyi Kalu, Ayo Olaiya, Divine Answer, Don Brymo, and Tijani Faraga, among others.
