According to Ireporter Online, Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has praised Victor Osimhen for his influential performance in the club’s dominant 3-0 derby win over rivals Fenerbahçe, describing the Nigerian striker as a key figure who lifts the overall quality of the team.

Osimhen, returning from injury, made an immediate impact by scoring the opening goal in the high-stakes encounter, further cementing his reputation as a decisive player in crucial matches. Buruk commended the forward’s contribution, noting that his presence consistently enhances the performance of his teammates.

The coach revealed that the striker has started 17 league matches so far, emphasizing that he has not even featured in half of the season’s games but still remains highly productive. He also singled out Osimhen and Yunus for exceptional performances in the derby, suggesting both players deserved man-of-the-match recognition.

The goal took Osimhen’s total across all competitions to 20 for the season, strengthening Galatasaray’s position in the Turkish Süper Lig title race as the campaign approaches its decisive stage.

He also dismissed pre-match complaints raised by Fenerbahçe, insisting that such distractions are unnecessary, especially when competing against one of the strongest sides in the league.
