David Mark Admits Peter Obi, Kwankwaso’s Exit Has Affected ADC

According to Ireporter Online, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has acknowledged that the departure of former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso has had an impact on the opposition coalition.

Mark made this known on Wednesday during an engagement with members of the Forum of ADC (former Federal Lawmakers) at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

He noted that while the exit of both politicians has affected the party, it would also serve as a motivation for the ADC to intensify its efforts ahead of future elections.

“No doubt, the exit of Obi and Kwankwaso has its impact but that will spur us to work harder,” he said.

Reaffirming the party’s determination, Mark stated that the ADC remains focused on producing credible candidates capable of winning elections, insisting that the party would overcome its present internal and external challenges.

He added, “We must close our ranks and avoid issues of factionalization. Our opponents are bringing renegades as one-man factions. We shall overcome all their shenanigans.

“Nigerians are already with us and we all need to be on board. That is why I urge us all to work together and succeed together.”

Recall that Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso recently left the ADC for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) as part of their reported joint presidential ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
