According to Ireporter Online, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has criticised former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, over his repeated movement across political parties, accusing him of lacking leadership stability.

Wike made the remarks on Wednesday during his monthly media chat, where he alleged that Obi has consistently abandoned political platforms whenever they encounter internal challenges instead of contributing to their resolution.

He stated that Obi’s political trajectory reflects an inability to build and sustain party structures, recalling his movement from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), then to the Labour Party, and subsequently to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Wike further claimed that Obi’s recent political shifts suggest a pattern of leaving parties at critical moments rather than staying to fix their issues.

The FCT Minister also took a swipe at the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, questioning his leadership role within the PDP Governors Forum, which he described as lacking broad representation.

Wike further said, “Bala has gone, and Seyi now said he’s the chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum. How can you be the chairman of one member? Obi was in APGA. He couldn’t build APGA and left eventually. He came to PDP and said one man is dominating everything. He went to the Labour Party, but they had a crisis, and he ran away to ADC. Now, ADC has problems, and he has run from ADC to NDC. All he’s looking for is food is ready, mama-put, food is ready.”
