BREAKING: Oyo Rep Olajide Dumps PDP In Sh*ck Move

According to Ireporter Online, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, Adedeji Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Olajide confirmed his resignation in a letter dated May 5, 2026, addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 11, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area. The development was also contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha.

The federal lawmaker stated that his decision came after extensive consultations with his political associates, supporters, and constituents. He described the move as a difficult but necessary step, citing prevailing internal realities within the party and his desire to operate in a more inclusive and stable political environment.

Olajide reaffirmed his commitment to public service, noting that his future political direction would be guided by the interests of his constituents and his long-term objectives. He further maintained that since joining the PDP, he had remained committed to the party’s growth and electoral success, efforts which he said contributed to his election and re-election to the House of Representatives.

Expressing gratitude, he appreciated the leadership and members of the PDP at all levels for their support during his time in the party, stating that his decision was taken in good faith and without resentment. He also emphasized that he would continue to value the relationships built within the party.

While he did not disclose his next political platform, Olajide’s resignation comes amid ongoing political realignments ahead of the next election cycle. He assured his constituents of his continued dedication to development-oriented and inclusive representation.
