“Since my foray into partisan politics some two decades ago, I have come to the realisation that the politics of a country has a profound impact on its level of development. In other words, politics can either enable development or undermine it. This is why we have to do everything possible to get our politics right.

With politics, we can steel and strengthen our democracy; we can rebuild trust in our institutions; we can heal our deepest wounds and address our vulnerabilities. With politics that is smart, that is right, that is fair, and that is good, we can rediscover our priorities as a nation and pursue them for the greater good.

I am convinced that with my experience as a former Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change and my vast managerial experience in the private sector spanning decades, I am better placed to drive this agenda as the party chair to the glory of each and every member of our great party, and of course, all Nigerians.

I seek your support. I seek your prayers. Together, we can Do it Differently.”

The man is sound and of a stable character, APC members are elated over aspiration and see him as an agent for progressive change.

Mallam Saliu Mustapha is the Turaki of Ilorin and a strong ally to President Buhari.
