Iniedu Confirmed As New Force PRO Following Placid’s Replacement

The Nigeria Police Force has officially confirmed the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu as its new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).

According to Ireporter Online, the appointment was approved by the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, and announced in a statement issued on Friday by the outgoing Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Police Anthony Placid.

The statement described CSP Iniedu as an accomplished police officer with extensive experience spanning public communication, operational policing, intelligence management, institutional accountability, and administrative responsibilities.

A native of Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, the newly appointed police spokesperson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Chemistry from the University of Uyo. He has also participated in several professional training programmes covering investigative interviewing, crime scene management, human rights-based policing, strategic communication, and intelligence analysis.

The appointment marks a new chapter in the Force’s public communication strategy as CSP Iniedu assumes responsibility for managing the image and information dissemination activities of the Nigeria Police Force.
