Akpabio Commends Tinubu For Bringing ‘Miracle Worker’ To Abuja

According to Ireporter Online, the Senate President Godswill Akpabio has described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as a “miracle worker” while commending the administration of President Bola Tinubu for his appointment and performance in office.

Akpabio made the remarks on Thursday during the commissioning of the newly completed Airport Road (Bill Clinton Drive) leading to Tungan Madaki Community in Abuja, part of projects marking the current administration’s third year in office. Representing President Tinubu at the event, he praised the scale and pace of infrastructural development under Wike’s supervision in the Federal Capital Territory.

He noted that it was unprecedented in Nigeria’s history for a minister to schedule project commissioning activities spanning as many as 30 days in a single month, describing it as a reflection of exceptional productivity in public service. Akpabio further expressed confidence in the durability of the newly constructed road, suggesting it could remain in good condition for several decades due to the quality of work and contractors involved.

While reflecting on his experience as a former governor, he referenced similar road projects executed under contractors he had previously worked with, stating that such infrastructure had lasted for years without significant deterioration. He also praised what he described as the administration’s commitment to delivering lasting infrastructure across the country.

Akpabio, speaking on behalf of the President, commended Tinubu’s leadership style and described him as a consistent “deliverer” who continues to pursue development despite criticism. He also applauded Wike’s energetic approach to project execution, likening his performance to transformative governance in the FCT.
