According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has responded sharply to critics who questioned her decision to burn the white outfit she wore to the burial of her late colleague, Alexx Ekubo

The actress had earlier revealed on her Instagram story that she was advised by her godmother not to keep clothing worn to a funeral, stating that such items should be discarded or burned. She noted that she eventually gave the outfit to her aunt in Owerri to dispose of, emphasizing that she did not take it back to Lagos.

Her initial post, which referenced the burial of Alexx Ekubo held in his hometown, Aziukwubwo Ujori village, Arochukwu, Abia State, sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users describing her actions as insensitive and disrespectful to the bereaved family.

However, Okorie swiftly addressed the backlash, insisting that her comments were misunderstood and that she was not attempting to provoke public outrage. She maintained that individuals grieving the loss of a loved one should be treated with respect and cautioned critics against misinterpreting her intentions.
