I Still Can’t Forget That ‘Silly Advice’ To The Commander-In-Chief” — Murray-Bruce Blames Jonathan Over Amaechi’s Exit From PDP

According to Ireporter Online, Murray-Bruce made the remarks in a video circulating on social media, where he alleged that Amaechi and other key PDP figures left the party due to dissatisfaction with Jonathan’s leadership style and what he termed “silly advice” being given to the former president by his close aides.

He further claimed that repeated warnings about growing discontent among influential party members were ignored by those in Jonathan’s inner circle, allowing internal tensions to escalate unchecked.

Murray-Bruce stressed that some presidential aides failed to properly respond to early signs of frustration among major political stakeholders within the PDP, describing their actions as negligent and poorly handled.

In his words, he said: “As I sit here and think about my experience with people who were so incompetent and unconcerned about the people they served, giving silly advice to the Commander-in-Chief, I am amazed. I can’t get over it.”

In a related development, Murray-Bruce also recalled how the 1983 military coup that ousted the government of former President Shehu Shagari severely impacted his early career in concert promotion, stating that the political instability at the time led to the collapse of his growing entertainment business, which he had built with a ₦20,000 loan between 1980 and 1983.
