The senatorial ambition of the CEO of DVD Oil and Gas, Hon Valentine Asuen has received a big boost.

The frontline Edo South Senatorial aspirant got the boost on Sunday when some women from Edo South held a meeting to endorse his aspiration. The women who are all APC leaders in their various wards met in Benin City to make the declaration.

“Those of us in politics who are in the know, we want to win the Senate race, so we want to pick the most electable and credible person statewide, and I think a lot of people agree that that person is Hon Valentine Asuen,” said Edith an APC chieftain from Egor.

According to the women, the pedigree of Valentine endeared him to them, stating that he is highly qualified and he’s coming into the senatorial race with a lot of experience.

” We are still trapped in the whole cycle of underdevelopment in Edo South, we need a representative who would make concerted efforts in seeing to our interest and genuinely work for the collective interest of our people.

We are confident Hon Asuen is coming in with a rich pedigree and this will have an impact on his performance.

We are here to endorse his candidature and let our party the APC know that there can not be a better product than Valentine Asuen, he is sellable.

We are already selling him and we are convinced that he will be generally accepted by the people.”

The APC women leaders say they are currently moving around in an effort to form a coalition to help advance their pursuit in seeing Hon Valentine Asuen emerge as the next Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District.

According to reports, Hon Valentine Asuen would be officially flagging off his campaigns any moment from now.
