Naira Wasn’t Redesigned For Beauty, It Was For …… – Reno Omokri Makes Revelation

Reno Omokri, a socio-political activist, stated that the newly unveiled Naira notes were redesigned for economic and security reasons rather than beauty.

He also stated that the Dollar is powerful due to its value rather than its beauty.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari launched the redesigned Naira notes by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, yesterday.

Mixed reactions have followed the unveiling, with many expressing dissatisfaction with the new Naira notes’ appearance, while others have taken to social media to make jokes about them.

Omokri, on the other hand, has come out to criticize those who have expressed dissatisfaction with the appearance of the Naira notes.

He wrote on his verified Twitter account, “The Naira was not redesigned for beauty. It was redesigned for economic and security reasons. And it achieved exactly that. Naira appreciated. Bandits were flummoxed. The dollar is powerful, but not beautiful. Emefiele and the CBN board deserve kudos, not hubris!”
