During his visit to the site on Thursday, alongside local traditional rulers, Ibrahim extended his condolences to those affected by the devastating incident.

Recognizing that access to water could have mitigated the damage, Ibrahim pledged to install a solar-powered borehole and solar lamps at the market to prevent future incidents.

“I want to express my sympathy for your losses. I came here with our traditional leaders to assess the destruction and offer support,” he stated.

“I was informed that if there had been water available, the situation might have been different. To ensure this doesn’t happen again, I will arrange for a borehole and install solar lights here.”

After assessing the damage, Ibrahim announced the donation of N10 million to help the affected shop owners restock their goods.
