According to a statement by the state police spokesperson, Abubakar Aliyu, the girls were released at approximately 10:40 pm on the same day they were abducted. The Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Abubakar Musa, promptly deployed operatives to the scene with instructions to rescue the victims unharmed.
