The governor highlighted the excellent collaboration between the executive and legislature as a key factor in the smooth passage of the budget. He urged continued cooperation among all government arms to ensure effective delivery of democratic benefits to the people of Akwa Ibom.

The state legislature had passed the budget on December 24, following the adoption of the report by the House Committee on Appropriation and Finance. The 2025 budget, named the “Budget of Consolidation and Expansion,” includes a recurrent expenditure of N300 billion and a capital expenditure of N655 billion.

Governor Eno emphasized that the new budget would strengthen the state’s progress and promote sustainable development across various sectors.
