aligns with the Governor’s ARISE Agenda, focused on expanding the state’s infrastructure and development.

The signing took place on Tuesday at the State Executive Council Chambers in Government House, Uyo, with key figures including Speaker Udeme Otong, state lawmakers, and members of the Executive Council in attendance.

Governor Eno praised the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly for the swift and efficient passage of the budget, noting the strong partnership between the executive and legislative arms of government. He called for continued collaboration to ensure the effective delivery of democracy’s benefits to the people of Akwa Ibom.

The budget, which passed the legislature on December 24 after a thorough review by the House Committee on Appropriation and Finance, features a recurrent expenditure of ₦300 billion, with ₦655 billion allocated for capital projects. This represents a 3% increase over the previous year’s revised budget of ₦923.412 billion.

With this budget, Governor Eno is setting the stage for a year of growth and expansion, aiming to deliver significant benefits to the people of Akwa Ibom.
