Actor Adeniyi Johnson Sounds Alarm On Impersonation Scam Targeting Fans

According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has issued a public warning over an impersonation scam involving the use of his identity to deceive unsuspecting individuals.

The actor revealed via his Instagram page on Tuesday that an individual based in the United Kingdom has been falsely presenting himself as Johnson in online communications. He expressed concern after sharing a screenshot of a conversation linked to the impersonator, making it clear that he has no connection with the individual and has not authorised any form of communication through them.

Johnson further clarified that the phone number being used does not belong to him and emphasized that he currently does not work with any personal manager or assistant in handling business-related engagements.

He urged the public, fans, and potential business partners to disregard any messages, proposals, or offers originating from the impersonator, adding that such fraudulent activities could damage his public image. He also called on the public to report the number and avoid engaging with the scammer in any form.

“Scam alert. I do not know this person and do not represent whatever he or she stands for. I have never used this number and at the moment I do not have a manager or personal assistant. Please ignore chats or business proposals from him or her. I do not know him or her. Let’s frustrate this number with calls and report it as well,” he stated.
