Adeleke Slams Oyetola Over ‘Stolen’ 2018 Election, Vows Continued Progress In Osun

In an interview with ireporteronline on Monday, Governor Adeleke maintained that he was the rightful winner of the 2018 governorship race, and that his mandate was wrongfully taken.

“I did not lose to Oyetola; they stole the mandate of the people of Osun State,” Adeleke said.

Reflecting on his 2022 victory, Adeleke stated that he decisively defeated Oyetola, attributing his triumph to divine intervention. “I didn’t just win; I defeated him comprehensively,” the Governor added, claiming that God had hidden 200,000 votes to thwart any attempts at election rigging.

Adeleke also suggested that internal disarray within Oyetola’s camp played a significant role in his success. “God put disunity in my opponent’s camp, and that made them fight themselves,” he explained.
