All The Glitz And Glam At The Investiture Of Dr Ehi Winifred As The 22nd President Of MWAN(Photos and Video)

Last week the city of Benin witnessed one of the biggest medical events, the Investiture Of Dr Ehi Winifred as the 22nd President of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, MWAN, the event brought together players and stakeholders in the medical industry.

Policymakers, health professionals, top government functionaries, medical directors and guests were hosted at the award and investiture ceremony.

Visitors at the occasion were wowed as the event also had a rich cultural display of the Benin culture.

Tuesday the 11th of January 2022 would remain a special day in the annals of medical events in  Nigeria.

The event has come and gone, but its echoes still resonate, thousands of Nigerians that followed the event both as a guest and on social media platforms keep talking about it. On that special day, the Doctors House, venue of the prestigious Investiture and awards was filled to the brim with guests from all walks of life.

The entertainment of guests was of course …TOP NOTCH.

Dr Ehi Winifred Isa was born over 40 years ago in Benin city. She had her primary and secondary education at Uniben Staff School and Uniben Demonstration Secondary School both in Benin city. She obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Benin.

She also has a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent mental health from the prestigious University of Ibadan.

She has held several leadership positions from her early days in medical school where she was treasurer of Ubemsa and a Member of the Student Union Parliament, she also has served as the treasurer and secretary of the Association of Resident Doctors, one-time secretary and now presently the Acting Chairperson of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of the FNPH, Benin City.

The vision of MWAN is to be the foremost Medical Association in Nigeria in the maintenance of quality health in Nigeria, through the world, and a symbol of unity of Medical Women worldwide in improving the standard of quality healthcare and expansion of knowledge and excellence in health.
