An Outrage’ – APC Slams Adeleke’s Chief Of Staff, Calls For Immediate Resignation
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Chief of Staff, Kazeem Akinleye, to resign over alleged involvement in a ₦13.7 billion payroll fraud. According to the party, the allegations have intensified public concerns about the state administration.
In a press statement released by the APC’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, the party claimed that Akinleye had brought “monumental shame” to Osun State and urged him to step down immediately. The statement referenced claims circulating on social media from Saadat Ottun, Vice Chairman and CEO of Sally Tibbot Consulting Limited, implicating Akinleye in the payroll scandal.
The APC criticized Akinleye’s management of government affairs, suggesting that the deficiencies in key sectors under his oversight were contributing to missteps in the governor’s administration. The party described him as unfit for the position, arguing that his conduct had eroded public confidence in the state government.
“It is an insult to the sensibilities of the people of Osun that someone like Akinleye occupies such a sensitive office,” the statement read. The party also compared him unfavorably with previous Chiefs of Staff, including Elder Peter Babalola and Gboyega Oyetola, noting a stark contrast in competence and performance.
The APC further alleged that Akinleye had exceeded his official duties and used his position for personal gain. The statement concluded with a demand for his immediate resignation, reiterating that his tenure had brought significant shame to the people of Osun State.
