Speaking at the 35th Anniversary Awards and Carnival for Christ Celebration in Abuja, Reverend Ndukuba addressed the key issues affecting Nigeria. He reassured citizens that God would eventually guide the country out of its current difficulties, urging them not to lose hope amid the hardships.

The Primate pointed to corruption and poor leadership as significant obstacles to Nigeria’s progress, criticizing the alleged misuse of public funds, particularly the reported N318 billion spent on implementing a new version of the national anthem. He described this expenditure as shocking.

During the event, which celebrated 35 years of the Anglican Communion’s presence in Abuja, Reverend Ndukuba emphasized that Nigerians should place their trust in God’s power, which does not fail. He stressed that faith in God has the ability to uplift people, allowing them to achieve great things even with limited resources.

“We should not give up; we must hope in God,” he said. “By faith, people can be lifted, and with God’s help, even small resources can be used to accomplish remarkable feats. We are sending a message of hope to Nigeria that we will continue to trust in God, and in due time, He will elevate this nation.”

Reverend Ndukuba also expressed concern over the reported N318 billion spent on the national anthem project, questioning its value and whether it could have been better spent on vital industries. He argued that the money could have been used to establish industries and address Nigeria’s broader economic challenges.

He called for the revitalization of the nation’s agricultural industries, suggesting that developing sectors like agro-processing could lead to self-sufficiency and even feed the wider African continent. He noted that industries focused on products like cotton, maize, and tomatoes could provide jobs and help families thrive.

As the Anglican Communion celebrated its 35th anniversary, Reverend Ndukuba prayed for God’s blessings on Nigeria, its citizens, and leadership, hoping for a transformation that would position the nation for a brighter future.
