APC Expels Popular Senator, Gives Reason
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamawa chapter has expelled the controversial lawmaker representing Adamawa North, senator Elisha Abbo for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.
Since the presidential candidate of the APC nominated Kashim Shettima as his running mate, Abbo has remained one of the voices against the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
The executives of Mubi North local government area signed an explosion letter Friday, stating that they concluded based on Abbo’s interview on the African Independent Television (AIT), condemning the party’s flag bearer.

“The committee is conscious of its responsibility and expectation of the party members and determined that a free, fair and credible process has been adopted, particularly adequate fair hearing has been accorded to the senator under reference.
“Consequently, 29 members of the committee have approved the report of the disciplinary committee dated 5th day of October, 2022. Wherefore, expelled Senator Elisha Ishiyahu Abbo, based on the Interview granted on the AIT where he was condemning and criticising the Party presidential flag.”
