APC Reps Member Commends Tinubu, Yilwatda, Calls For Unity Ahead Of 2027 Elections
According to Ireporter Online, the member representing Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Festus Adefiranye, has commended President Bola Tinubu and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for what he described as a transparent and credible primary election conducted in Ondo State.
Adefiranye, who recently emerged as the APC candidate for a second term in the National Assembly, made the remarks on Saturday during a victory walk organized by his supporters across the constituency in Okeigbo. He also praised the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for their roles in ensuring a smooth and credible nomination process.
Describing the exercise as free, fair, and transparent, the lawmaker called on aggrieved party members to put aside differences and unite for the success of the APC in the 2027 general elections. He stressed that the party’s strength lies in unity, urging members to rally behind President Tinubu and all APC candidates ahead of the polls.
Adefiranye further maintained that the APC remains a united political family, noting that his relationship with other aspirants and party stakeholders remains cordial despite the contest. He appealed to dissatisfied members to respect the supremacy of the party and avoid actions that could deepen internal divisions, warning against misinformation circulating on social media regarding the outcome of the primaries.
Reinforcing the call for grassroots mobilisation, the member representing Odigbo Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olatunji Ifabiyi, urged party members to intensify door-to-door campaigns to secure victory for the APC in 2027. He described the party as a united front and emphasized the need for collective effort.
Similarly, former Ondo State Commissioner, Yetunde Adeyanju, said Adefiranye’s re-election ticket reflected the confidence of his constituents in his leadership and performance. She urged him to continue delivering impactful representation and maintaining close engagement with the people.
Party leaders also reaffirmed their support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the leader of the APC in Ondo State, expressing optimism that he would work closely with the national leadership under Prof. Yilwatda to further strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
