Aremu Afolayan Speaks Out: Here’s Why I’m Backing Tinubu For 2027
According to Ireporter Online, actor Aremu Afolayan has officially declared his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election. Speaking at a recent campaign event, Afolayan highlighted his personal achievements despite the country’s economic challenges, attributing part of his success to the policies of the current administration.
Afolayan praised President Tinubu’s diplomatic efforts, particularly in resolving the UAE travel ban on Nigerian citizens, and commended the president’s emphasis on national unity. He stated, “When people say the country is hard, I don’t really know what that is. When the UAE banned Nigerians, it was President Tinubu who engaged with their leadership and helped lift the ban. I was very happy and praised him. Nigeria faces many challenges, but most citizens focus on criticizing rather than appreciating these efforts.”
On security issues, Afolayan downplayed reports of insurgency, suggesting that some media coverage may exaggerate the situation. He added, “And when you watch the news about insurgency, don’t mind them—it’s all scripted.”
