According to Ireporter Online, Arsenal have reclaimed the top position in the Premier League following a narrow 1-0 victory over Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Friday, April 25.

The decisive moment came early in the ninth minute when Eberechi Eze found the back of the net after a well-worked short corner routine. Kai Havertz played a key role in the build-up, setting up the England international on the edge of the box, where he delivered a composed curling finish into the top corner to give the Gunners an early advantage.

The win proved crucial for Mikel Arteta’s side, who had briefly dropped to second place in the standings after Manchester City’s midweek victory over Burnley on goal difference. The result ensured Arsenal responded immediately, restoring their lead in the title race.

Newcastle United had their chances before the interval, with William Osula, Bruno Guimarães, and Sandro Tonali all testing the Arsenal defence, but none were able to convert their opportunities.

In the second half, Eddie Howe introduced Yoane Wissa and Harvey Barnes in a bid to salvage a result. The Magpies pressed for an equaliser late on, but Wissa missed a clear opportunity that summed up their struggles in front of goal.

The outcome leaves Arsenal three points clear at the top of the table, although they have played one more match than Manchester City. However, concerns emerged for the hosts as both Havertz and Eze were forced off due to injury before full-time.
