Asake’s Ex-Manager: “He Became Too Big for Me to Handle”
Stephen Nana, also known as Stevenator, has revealed why he stepped down as Asake’s manager, citing the artist’s rapid rise to fame and personal sacrifices he could no longer sustain.
In a viral interview, Stevenator explained that Olamide, YBNL boss and a longtime friend, initially entrusted him with managing Asake despite his lack of experience. Asake’s explosive success from 2022 to 2024 left little room for Stevenator to grow into the role, forcing him into relentless travel and work.
He admitted the job strained his family life—his son didn’t recognize him during a visit—prompting him to choose stability over industry demands. “Asake became too big to manage without sacrificing everything. I love my wife and kids. I had to make a choice,” he said, while expressing gratitude to Olamide for the opportunity.
