to extend his stay at Gewiss Stadium until at least 2027.
According to Bergamo & Sports journalist Luciano Rota, the Italian club is motivated to improve Lookman’s terms amid growing interest from top European teams. Atalanta reportedly plans to double his salary to around €3.5 million annually to deter potential suitors.
Currently 27, Lookman garnered substantial attention this summer and even agreed on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning Ligue 1 champions. However, Atalanta intervened to prevent the transfer, signaling their intent to retain the key player.
Lookman’s impressive performances at the start of the 2024/25 season have raised his profile, making him a sought-after prospect for the upcoming summer transfer window. His achievements this year include a 14th-place finish in the prestigious 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings, along with a strong candidacy for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
Since joining Atalanta in 2022 from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, Lookman has become a vital component of their attack. With two years remaining on his current contract, Atalanta’s proactive extension offer demonstrates their commitment to securing his contributions for years to come.
