Ayra Starr Takes Miami by Storm as Chris Martin Declares Her the Future of Global Pop
British music icon and Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin, has publicly declared that Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Ayra Starr, is on course to become the world’s biggest pop star. According to iReporter Online, Martin made the bold prediction while introducing the Mavin Records singer during Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour stop at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
While presenting her to the massive crowd, the Grammy-winning artist said, “This is Ayra Starr from Nigeria. She is going to be the world’s biggest pop star so soon,” drawing loud applause from attendees, including global football legend Lionel Messi and his wife Antonela, who were spotted among the audience.
Ayra Starr joined the British band on stage to perform their joint track Good Feelings, as well as her own recently released single, Hot Body, both of which were met with enthusiastic reception from fans.
The rising Nigerian star continues to command attention internationally, but her name has also been entangled in contract-related rumors. iReporter Online noted that recent online claims alleged her new five-year deal with Roc Nation contains a clause forbidding her from engaging in romantic relationships or starting a family during its tenure.
In response, Ayra Starr took to her verified X handle to deny knowledge of any such condition in her contract, stating unequivocally that she was not aware of any clause barring her from dating or starting a family.
The singer, known for hits such as Sability and Rush, has steadily gained global acclaim, with recent performances and streaming achievements propelling her status beyond the African continent. Her on-stage endorsement by Chris Martin is widely seen as yet another significant milestone in her ascent to international superstardom.
