During the inauguration of a 14.1-kilometer road project in Rivers State, Governor Bala commended Fubara for his effective governance despite facing political challenges and opposition.
“My day is brightened by being here, amidst a renewed hope for Nigeria, epitomized by the good governance observed here,” Bala stated. He characterized Fubara as “simple, sincere, polite, and an outstanding performer,” while expressing regret for previously doubting his leadership skills.
Bala praised Fubara for his commitment to development amid distractions, noting the positive effects of the new road project. He also highlighted Fubara’s inclusive governance approach, showcasing humility and confidence in the judicial system.
“In the PDP, we have chosen to refrain from unfounded criticisms,” Bala noted, contrasting the PDP’s stance with what he described as arrogance and impunity exhibited by those in power. He encouraged leaders to recognize when it’s time to step aside without undermining their successors.
Governor Bala took the opportunity to address the Federal Government as well, advising President Bola Tinubu to prioritize effective governance and eliminate unproductive individuals from his administration.
“There are detrimental elements in your cabinet that are causing more harm than good,” Bala asserted. He emphasized the importance of praying for leaders, as their success is vital for the nation’s progress, but urged decisive action to remove obstacles to advancement.
In his address, Governor Fubara reaffirmed his belief in the judiciary as the ultimate guardian of justice and fairness. He encouraged Nigerians to stay hopeful despite recent challenges, emphasizing the judiciary’s pivotal role in maintaining democracy.
Governor Fubara spoke at the inauguration of the transformative 14.1-kilometer Umuakali-Eberi-Omodu Road located in the Omuma Local Government Area, noting its significance in connecting communities within Omuma and neighboring Abia State. He pointed out that the region had been overlooked for years but promised that his administration would bring lasting development.
He also criticized political opponents who celebrated his administration’s challenges, asserting that his focus remained on delivering tangible results for Rivers State.
“When they believed we were faltering, we persevered quietly,” Fubara remarked. “This road project exemplifies the transformation happening across our communities.”
He added that the road is not only essential for improving connectivity but will also act as a catalyst for further development in the region.
“We must share our narrative and showcase the strides we’ve made, as governance is fundamentally about serving the people,” Fubara concluded.
The newly inaugurated road and other ongoing projects throughout Rivers State highlight the administration’s dedication to enhancing infrastructure and promoting socio-economic development.
