Be Encouraged, Christ Overcame! – Jonathan’s Stirring Easter Message To Nigerians
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful despite the numerous challenges confronting the nation.
In his Easter message delivered on Friday, Jonathan emphasized that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes the ultimate gift of salvation and redemption for all believers.
“I join millions of Christians worldwide to mark Good Friday, a solemn reminder of Christ’s selfless sacrifice for humanity and the divine gift of salvation. This day calls on Christians to emulate the spirit of servanthood and selfless service demonstrated by Jesus, who gave His life to redeem mankind,” Jonathan said.
He urged Nigerians not to lose heart but instead draw strength from the love and hope made available through Christ’s resurrection.
The former president also called on citizens to renew their commitment to peace, justice, and national unity.
“Easter reminds us of Christ’s unwavering love, the power of righteousness, and the triumph of hope over despair. His resurrection rekindles our faith in God’s immense love and the endless possibilities that lie in believing.
“I encourage all Nigerians to find inspiration in the resurrection story—its message of hope, faith, and ultimate victory over adversity. It speaks to the values of sacrifice, humility, and service,” he added.
Jonathan concluded by urging the people to let the season deepen their faith, reignite their hope, and promote peace and unity across the country.
