Big Chinni Drops ‘Double Love Dose’ Just In Time For Valentine’s Day
The soothing rhythms of Afro Soul are set to dominate the Valentine’s season as fast-rising Nigerian artiste, Big Chinni, prepares to unveil two new love-themed singles. According to Ireporter Online, the project, titled “Double Love Dose,” will be released on February 13, a day ahead of Valentine’s Day, in what the singer describes as a deliberate move to align with the heightened emotions that define the season.
The body of work features two tracks — “Baby Yo,” produced by Kristunez, and “Ololufe,” produced by Tbarz — both crafted to explore the beauty, depth and universality of love. The dual release underscores Big Chinni’s evolving artistry and her commitment to promoting love not only in romantic relationships but also within families, friendships and broader social connections.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the project, the artiste explained that the songs were intentionally created to remind listeners that love transcends seasons and circumstances. She noted that the timing of the release was carefully chosen to take advantage of a period when emotional connections are amplified, providing a fitting atmosphere to promote messages of affection, unity and compassion.
Big Chinni further emphasised that love remains a timeless theme in both Nigerian and global music, maintaining that it continues to resonate strongly with audiences despite shifting musical trends. She expressed confidence that the subject matter would always hold relevance because of its ability to connect people and make music relatable.
The upcoming singles are also expected to highlight her signature fusion of Afro Soul and Afro RnB — a sound recognised for blending heartfelt storytelling with contemporary African rhythms. Signed to Bankerz Musik, the singer has steadily gained traction within the industry, positioning herself as one of the emerging female voices shaping the evolving Afro Soul movement.
She disclosed that her musical style is deeply rooted in real-life emotions and personal experiences, which she translates into melodies designed to create meaningful emotional connections with listeners. According to her, the new project reflects her broader goal of using music as a platform to encourage positivity, emotional freedom and social harmony.
Industry observers believe the Valentine-themed release could further expand her growing fan base while introducing her sound to a wider audience within the Afro music landscape. With anticipation building ahead of the release, music enthusiasts are expected to experience a blend of soulful expression and culturally grounded sound that reflects the artiste’s distinctive musical identity.
