BREAKING: Amid Fuel Price Hike, Tinubu Gives Fresh Order (DETAILS)

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow regarding the death of two-year-old Ivan Omhonrina, who was killed by a stray bullet during an operation conducted by officers of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Dele Alake, the President directed the NDLEA management to conduct a prompt and thorough investigation into the incident to identify and punish those responsible.

President Tinubu urged security agents to exercise greater professionalism and caution during their operations to avoid endangering the lives of innocent Nigerian citizens.

“I grieve over the loss of young Ivan Omhonrina and extend my heartfelt sympathies to his parents for the painful experience of losing an innocent child in such a tragic manner.”

“Ivan did not deserve to meet such a fate. We must ensure that this incident is not left unresolved and take measures to prevent such a tragedy from happening to anyone else.”

“I also pray for the swift recovery of Eronmonsele, who was reportedly injured in this unfortunate event.”

“The incident is utterly unacceptable. We must identify those responsible for bringing anguish upon the Omhonrina family and ensure they face justice,” President Tinubu stated.
