BREAKING: Amid Fuel Price Hike, Two Powerful Bosses Suspended (DETAILS)

The Oyo State House of Assembly has requested the Chairman of the Akinyele Local Government Area (LGA), Taoreed Adedigba, and the Chairman of the Ibadan North LGA, Agba Egbe, to temporarily step aside while an investigation into allegations of gross misconduct and misappropriation of funds is conducted against them.

This decision was made during the Assembly’s plenary session on Tuesday after careful deliberations.

In the interim, the vice chairman of the Akinyele LGA will assume control of the council, while the secretary will take charge of Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) 1 and the assistant secretary will handle LCDA 2.

The allegations against them include acts of impunity, abuse of office, and misuse of local government funds, leading to their suspension. To further investigate these claims, the Assembly has formed an adhoc committee headed by member Peter Ojedokun.
