BREAKING: Court Stops Ayu As PDP Chairman (SEE COURT PAPERS)
A High Court in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, has barred the embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu, from parading himself as the party’s chairman pending the outcome of the substantive suit, which has been adjourned until April 17, 2023.
Terhide Utaan, a PDP member from Benue who is the plaintiff before Justice W. I Kpochi, obtained the order restraining Ayu from parading himself as the party’s national chairman.

Ayu was suspended late last week for anti-party activities in the aftermath of the party’s presidential election loss.
But in a Monday statement by his media aide Simon Imobo-Tswam, the former lawmaker argued that only the ward lacked the powers to suspend him.
