The reshuffling of senior officers is part of the FRSC’s strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efforts to create a safer motoring environment. The announcement, signed by Charles Edem, the Corps Commander, Deputy Corps Public Education Officer at FRSC Headquarters in Abuja, revealed that these changes align with the Corps’s corporate strategic goals for 2024.

The redeployed officers include Deputy Corps Marshal Shehu Alkali Zaki, who was previously in charge of the Training Department and will now oversee the Department of Operations. Deputy Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem, the former Corps Public Education Officer, has been appointed as the Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of the Training Department at the National Headquarters in Abuja.

Additionally, Assistant Corps Marshal Jonas Agwu, formerly in charge of Command Administration and Strategies, will now administer the Corps Public Education Office vacated by Deputy Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem. The Corps Marshal expressed confidence in the capabilities and experience of the newly redeployed senior officers, urging them to bring their professional expertise to bear for impactful leadership.

The effective date of the redeployment is January 15, 2024, marking the conclusion of the ongoing Operation Zero Tolerance Special Patrol. Notably, the redeployment of Deputy Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem follows his promotion to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal last October, as approved by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
