BREAKING: Hours After Kano Commissioner’s Death Threats To Tribunal Judges, Something Bad Happens

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has dismissed the Commissioner for Lands, Adamu Aliyu, following his reckless remarks. Aliyu had issued threats to tribunal judges, giving them an ultimatum to choose between money and their lives, alleging that the judges had accepted bribes.

In response to this, the Commissioner for Information, Baba Dantiye, clarified in a statement on Friday at the Kano State Government House that Governor Yusuf holds the judiciary in high regard and will not tolerate any disrespect towards them.

Additionally, the governor also relieved his Special Advisor on Youth and Sports, Aliyu Yusuf, of his duties.

This decision comes in the wake of Aliyu’s recent vow to unleash turmoil on the state, surpassing the challenges faced by residents of neighboring Kaduna and Zamfara states. Addressing members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) on Thursday, he stated: “Any judge that allows himself to be used and collect bribes and pass judgment that is not right, we want to tell him he must choose between his life and the bribe money he collected.”

“You have seen the conflict (banditry) in Zamfara, Kaduna, and Katsina,” he warned. “I swear because of this governorship seat, everyone will die. The conflict that will start in Kano will be deadlier than the ones in those states and Borno.”

This statement has sparked widespread concern in the state’s political arena, casting doubts on the impartiality and safety of the judges presiding over the election dispute.
