President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Tope Fasua, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Analytics Consulting, as Special Adviser on Economic Affairs in the office of the Vice President.
In a brief statement released on Friday night, Fasua stated, “I need to inform the house that I’ve been appointed Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs in the VP’s office. Thank you all.”

Fasua, an economist, accountant, columnist, author, and consultant, is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He pursued his economics degree at Ondo State University, graduating as the best student in his department, faculty, and the university overall in 1991.
He obtained his second degree, an M.Sc in Financial Markets & Derivatives, from the London Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. Fasua launched his career in 1992 with the now-defunct Citizens Bank, later moving on to roles with Standard Trust Bank and Equatorial Trust Bank, where he eventually reached the position of Principal Manager/Regional Director in Abuja.
With additional executive education from the London Business School and Harvard University, Tope Fasua is a regular commentator on economics and financial markets in television appearances. He is also the author of the books “CRUSHED” (2011) and “THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOUR CAREER DISAPPEARS” (2013).
