BREAKING: Sad News As Former Nigerian Governor Dies

Salaudeen Adebola Latinwo, a former military governor of Kwara State, has passed away.

He reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday at a hospital in London. Latinwo, who hailed from Offa in Offa Local Government of the state, served as the governor of Kwara state during the Buhari/Idiagbon military regime from 1983 to 1985.

Group Captain Latinwo, initially recruited into the Nigerian Air Force in 1963, rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the military administrator of Kwara State during the Muhammadu Buhari years.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has expressed his condolences to the people of the state, particularly the Offa community, on the passing of the former military governor.

The Governor’s statement described the loss as a sad event, leaving a significant void among the esteemed statesmen who possess valuable wisdom and experience.

The Governor’s message, as conveyed by the Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, extends heartfelt condolences to Latinwo’s family, the Offa community, and the military establishment, while also offering prayers for the departed leader’s soul to rest in Al-Jannah and for strength and comfort for his family and community during this time of loss.
