An Australian supermarket in Krems an der Donau had to close down after a potentially dangerous Brazilian wandering spider, also known as the Banana spider due to its habit of hiding in banana packages, was discovered on the premises.

The spider, which is venomous, can cause severe symptoms, including a permanent erect!on in some individuals, hypothermia, blurred vision, and convulsions.

The supermarket has been evacuated since Tuesday, and an exterminator was called in to handle the situation.

The store’s banana packages have been sealed, and authorities are conducting extensive cleaning and disinfection procedures in preparation for the store’s reopening sometime next week.

Despite an exhaustive search, no spiders have been found thus far, but the spider’s size and color, which appear to match the Brazilian Wandering Spider, have led experts to suspect its identity.

This spider is known as one of the most deadly creatures on Earth, with its bites being potentially fatal.
