Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will miss Nigeria’s world cup qualifier match against Ghana on Friday.

The Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper will not feature in the match due to illness, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said on Tuesday.

Okoye, who was Nigeria’s number one at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), has been replaced by Eyimba FC goalkeeper John Noble.

Other goalkeepers in the Nigerian camp are Kaizer Chiefs Daniel Akpeyi and Omonia’s Francis Uzoho.

Leceister City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will also miss both legs of the match against Ghana due to injury. He was replaced by Lorient midfielder Innocent Bonke.

Meanwhile, 20 players have arrived the Nigeria Super Eagles camp for the World Cup qualifier.

They are Samuel Chukwueze, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka, Odion Ighalo, Daniel Akpeyi, Ahmed Musa, Oghenekaro Etebo and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Other players in camp include Shehu Abdullahi, Uzoho, Moses Simon, Emmanuel Dennis, Joe Aribo, Calvin Bassey, Bonke, Kenneth Omeruo, Zaidu Sanusi.
