According to reports circulating online, controversial Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has stirred fresh controversy after making remarks that appeared to shade Afrobeats superstar Davido. Portable alleged during a recent Instagram Live session that Grammy award-winning singer Burna Boy gifted him ₦20 million effortlessly — a gesture he described as genuine and heartwarming.

The “Zazu Zeh” crooner emphasized that despite never meeting Burna Boy in person, the acclaimed artist still chose to support him financially, portraying what he called true kindness and authenticity within the music industry.

In contrast, Portable appeared to criticize Davido, insinuating that while the DMW boss often portrays himself as generous, his support for emerging artists may not always match his public image. The singer further expressed that he values personal achievements earned through hard work over inherited wealth, arguing that true success is measured by one’s ability to thrive independently.

This latest statement adds another layer to the ongoing tension between Portable and Davido, which first surfaced earlier in the year after Portable accused Davido of unfollowing him on social media shortly after they met in the United States. Since then, the self-proclaimed “Wahala Musician” has repeatedly aimed subtle and direct jabs at the “Unavailable” hitmaker through various online rants.
