The clash escalated when Burna Boy shared a video featuring a man claiming to be Cubana Chiefpriest’s brother, who works as a phone repairman at the Alaba International Market in Lagos. To spite Chiefpriest, Burna Boy offered the man $30,000 and followed through with the promise.

In his defense, Chiefpriest took to Instagram to clarify that the man was not his brother, stating that he has only one brother and two sisters, and emphasizing that he doesn’t owe them anything. He further suggested they should strive to make something of themselves.

Fayose responded by criticizing Cubana Chiefpriest’s stance, asserting that one cannot expect loyalty from family members whom they have failed to support. He emphasized that individuals with means should not expect loyalty from those they have not helped or impacted positively, adding that neglecting family will ultimately result in abandonment during times of need.

Fayose remarked, “You say money is like water, yet your family is dining with your enemies. There’s a saying that charity begins at home. Many of you who believe you don’t need to help your family, can now see the disgrace your family is bringing upon you. The family you neglect will abandon you when you’re in sorrow.”
