Chibok Girl Who Escaped Boko Haram Abduction Gets Engaged To Lover In US (PHOTOS)

Joy Bishara, one of the schoolgirls who managed to escape after Boko Haram raided Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria in 2014, recently got engaged in the United States.

During the tragic incident, a total of 276 female students, aged 16 to 18, were kidnapped by the terrorist group from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok.

Fortunately, 57 of the schoolgirls, including Joy Bishara and her cousin Lydia Pogu, escaped by jumping from the trucks on which they were being transported.

Joy and Lydia later relocated to the US, where Joy pursued her education and graduated from Southeastern University with a degree in social work in 2021.

Recently, Joy Bishara celebrated her engagement in the US.
