Cross Riverians Make Case For High Chief (Prof) Eyo Etim Nyong As Local Residents Bemoan

Residents of Cross Rivers States have laid out reasons why they think High Chief Prof Eyo Etim Nyong should take over the administration of Cross Rivers State in 2023.

According to them no man or woman has ever been more qualified for the job than Prof Etim Nyong.

The residents who bemoaned the current status of stunted growth bedevilling the state called for concerted efforts by the people in rejecting cynicism, fear, and purposeless leadership.

The majority of the respondents say they don’t see the current administration and the PDP as really having ideas to deal with the modern-day challenges faced in running the affairs of a multi-dimensional State like Cross Rivers.

“This isn’t an attack on any one specific policy ideas, rather it reflects the lack of basic understanding about the way to meet up modern challenges in governance.

Our State presently needs a focused leadership that can be able to harness all the potentials inherent in the state for greater productivity, there is room for much improvement and only a visionary leadership with the right mindset can be able to reset the state and make sure it regains its lost glory- A Cross Riverian Elder speaking on the need for progressive change.

Why High Chief Prof Eyo Etim Nyong?

According to respondents, the antecedents of High Chief Prof Eyo Etim Nyong puts him miles ahead of others, as a pioneer member of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC board, Prof Nyong’s stewardship brought unprecedented development to Cross Rivers State.

With no fewer than 60 projects to his credit, High Chief Prof Etim Nyong is seen as a visionary leader who is focused and possesses the right mindset that would liberate Cross Rivers State from the current state of ARRESTED development.

Once famed as the mastermind behind the Niger Delta Master Plan, Prof Eyo Etim Nyong is also a High Chief in the Palace of the Obong of Calabar, a consultant and registered geologist, Prof Nyong is a household name in Cross Rivers state and hails from Odukpani  Local Government Area.

Cross Riverians have made a valid case for High Chief Prof Nyong saying that only a meaningful and responsible government that is capable of exploring the numerous talents among its citizens and create a pathway to develop those talents to attain a wealth-creating level where the people can be an employer of labour is what is needed at this stage.

According to them, Prof Nyong guarantees all these and a safer Cross Rivers State.

Cross Riverians have made a case for Prof Nyong , how it eventually plays out is yet to be seen, but like they always say with time all things are revealed, let’s keep our fingers crossed as we gradually march towards the 2023 general elections.
