Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (diesel), marking its first downward price adjustment following a series of recent increases. The revised pricing template, released on March 10, 2026, shows a notable decrease in the gantry prices of both fuels.

According to the template, the ex-depot price of petrol has been lowered by ₦100 to ₦1,075 per litre from the previous ₦1,175 per litre. Petrol supplied through coastal distribution will sell at ₦1,050 per litre, reflecting a marginally lower rate for marine deliveries.

The refinery also stated that the ex-depot price of diesel has been reduced to ₦1,430 per litre, a ₦190 drop from the previous ₦1,620 per litre. The company clarified that the stated gantry prices do not include statutory levies imposed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

The price revision follows a recent decline in global crude oil prices, which has eased international petroleum market costs. Observers note that fluctuations in petrol prices have previously led some filling stations to sell fuel for as high as ₦1,250 per litre.
