Details Emerge As Chief Justice Of Nigeria’s Son Becomes A Judge

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has appointed Justice Olukayode Ariwoola’s son, Ariwoola Olukayode Jr., as a judge of the Federal High Court.

The appointment was announced along with the appointment of one Grand Kadi, 23 judges of the Federal High Court, and four Kadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal in Kano.

The appointments were made at the 103rd meeting of the council, presided over by Justice Ariwoola, the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

The list of recommended candidates for the Federal High Court includes Ariwoola Olukayode Jr., Ekerete Udofot Akpan, Hussaini Dadan-Garba, Egbe Raphael Joshua, Anyalewa Onoja-Alapa, Aishatu Auya Ibrahim, Ogazi Friday Nkemakolam, Ogundare Kehinde Olayiwola, and several others.

For the Sharia Court of Appeal, Kano, the council recommended Kadi Muhammad Aminu Danjuma, Muhammad Adam Kadem, Salisu Muhammad Isa, Isa Idris Sa’id, and Aliyu Muhammad Kani as Kadis.

The appointed officials will be sworn in after receiving approval from the president and their respective state governors.
