Ijagwu clarified that the approval of new meter prices by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has no bearing on the DisCos’ planned actions. He further warned that any attempts to go against the FCCPC’s order would result in serious penalties.

He stressed that the replacement of meters must follow NERC’s guidelines, ensuring that consumers are not inconvenienced by disruptions, delayed installations, or additional costs.
