Emotional Scenes As Senator Monday Okpebholo Visits Jattu Market After Devastating Rainstorm, Pays Medical Bills For Victims
Uzairue, Edo State – Emotions ran high as Senator Monday Okpebholo, known as Akpakomiza, visited Jattu Market to inspect the aftermath of a recent rainstorm that resulted in fatalities, injuries, and property destruction.
In an immense act of compassion, Akpakomiza visited the disaster victims in the hospital and announced he would cover their medical bills, amounting to several millions of naira. This generous gesture was met with tears of gratitude and applause from the affected families and community members.
Understanding the urgency of restoring normalcy to the market, Senator Okpebholo also donated N10 million to aid in clearing the debris and rebuilding the affected market stalls. This substantial contribution is expected to significantly expedite the cleanup process and help the traders resume their businesses as soon as possible.
The senator’s visit did not end at the market site. He also paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Ogieneni of Uzairue, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Kadiri Imonikhe Omogbai IV. During the visit, Senator Okpebholo reiterated his commitment to supporting the Uzairue community and discussed collaborative efforts to prevent such disasters in the future.
Senator Okpebholo’s compassionate response and tangible support have left a lasting positive impact on the Uzairue people, highlighting his dedication to their welfare.
