This announcement follows a viral post by the “Bad To Me” vocalist where he declared his departure from the Afrobeats genre and cautioned fans against downloading his forthcoming album.

Wizkid offers further insight into the album by naming it in honor of his late mother, (Mrs) Juliana Morayo Balogun.

Remembering the loss of his mother, who passed away in London on August 18, 2023, Wizkid describes it as the most profound sorrow he has ever experienced, leaving him with a profound sense of emptiness.

In his latest Instagram update, he reveals that his upcoming album is titled “Morayo” and asserts that it will be his most remarkable musical achievement yet.

In a parting statement, alongside criticizing the paternal figures within Nigerian media organizations with the phrase “Una Papa,” Wizkid explicitly instructs that no blogs or Nigerian media outlets should cover his upcoming album “Morayo.”
