As Christians across Nigeria join millions around the globe to celebrate the joyous occasion of Christmas, the Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE , has extended heartfelt greetings to all Nigerians, calling for unity, love, and reflection during this festive season.
In his message, the Minister described Christmas as a time to honor the virtues of compassion, peace, and selflessness, which lie at the heart of the season. He urged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of the occasion by fostering unity and extending care to one another, especially to the less privileged.
“Christmas is a season of hope and goodwill,” Engr. Momoh stated. “It reminds us of the importance of love and the shared bond that unites us as a people. As we celebrate, let us recommit ourselves to building a Nigeria where unity, progress, and mutual respect thrive.”
The Minister acknowledged the challenges the nation has faced in recent times but expressed optimism about the strides being made to address them. He assured Nigerians that the Federal Government’s focus on implementing policies for inclusive growth and development is beginning to yield results.
“Our nation is on a path of transformation,” he noted. “Efforts to strengthen our economy, enhance infrastructure, and improve the quality of life for every Nigerian are ongoing. I am confident that as we enter 2025, the results of these efforts will become more evident, bringing smiles to the faces of our people.”

“As we celebrate Christmas, let us not lose sight of the progress we are making together as a nation,” he said. “The values of hard work, resilience, and togetherness that define us as Nigerians will continue to drive our collective success.”
He concluded by urging citizens to celebrate responsibly, praying for a peaceful and joyful Christmas for all.
